Dr John Schneider

Dr John Schneider holds memberships of the Australian College of Tropical Medicine and Safety Institute of Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and a Fellow and examination committee member of the Irish Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

Dr Schneider graduated in medicine from Queensland University and obtained a Graduate Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety from Curtain University. He practiced initially as a family physician and later as a consultant in Occupational Medicine in northern Australia, mainly in the mining and agricultural sector and their associated service industries.

From 2005 until 2013 he worked at the Institute of Public Health, UAE University, lecturing in Occupational Medicine to both undergraduate and postgraduate and vocational students. His main areas of interest are Occupational Health in rural and remote worksites, Workplace Rehabilitation, Ergonomics in particular work in hot environments, and postgraduate education in Occupational Medicine
