Whether you’re looking for a physio clinic appointment to manage your general injuries of daily living, chronic pain, sports or work injuries, DVA or NDIS case or a pre-employment or return to work physical assessment, we have the service ready for you.

Exercise Physiology

Accredited Exercise physiologists (AEP’s) are university qualified allied health professionals with extensive knowledge of the human body and training in understanding the body’s physical and psychological response to exercise in healthy populations, as well as in the context of injury, pain, chronic disease and disability.

AEP’s use evidence-based movement/exercise interventions & education to improve quality of life and prevent or treat chronic diseases. Their skill and knowledge allow them to help people who may be affected by chronic pain, cancer, auto-immune diseases, cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis, mental health conditions, post-operative rehabilitation and several others.

Our AEP’s can:
• Assess your condition, determine your current functional abilities and develop goals
• Use specifically tailored exercise programs to treat your condition and improve your health
• Decrease your pain and increase your function
• Chronic pain education and treatment
• Help you with lifestyle and behaviour modifications and educate you in anything related to exercise
• Prescribe exercise programs to prevent or manage chronic disease, injury and/or disability
• Improving your mobility and flexibility and prescribe exercise for rehabilitation
• Prescribe exercise programs for weight loss or metabolic conditions
• Prescribe prenatal and postpartum exercise programs
• Provide you with a strength and conditioning program to improve your overall health and fitness or help increase your performance for a specific goal (e.g. long-distance running)

Return To Work Assistance

As an approved workplace rehabilitation provider (WRP), Construct Health can assist both the employer and injured worker, return to work in a mindful manner. We provide assistance with Suitable Duties Programs and Functional Capabilities to ensure a safe space for a smooth return. We will also undertake scheduled site visits and assessments for each individual as required.

Virtual Video Consultations

Assists in the early intervention of musculoskeletal disorders and is ideal for corporate clients who are project-based without onsite physiotherapy resourcing. We use these video consultations as an adjunct to in-person physical treatment during the rehabilitation process.

Job-Specific Pre-Employment Assessments

Ensuring a potential employee’s ability to effectively meet the specific requirements of their potential role is critical in ensuring the right fit between the employee and employer. We help to develop the job-specific physical assessments to ensure customised standards are implemented across the business to mitigate risk and ensure the health and wellness of all potential new starters.



After Hours

We do not offer after hours appointments. After hours assistance is available the Emergency Department at the Mackay Base Public Hospital. There is also the Mater Emergency After Hours Service located on Willets Road, North Mackay. This is a walk-in service only and fees apply.
